The Suffolk mansion belonging to the London-born celebrity decorator 'to the stars' and renowned antiques collector, witnessed the auction of over 2,000 lots of extraordinary objects in his private collection amassed over the last 30 years.
Skeel's international celebrity clients include Rod Stewart, Anthony Hopkins, Donna Karan, Barbara Streisand and Michael Jackson. Skeel said "I have always thought of myself as a guardian rather than an owner of my collections and home, I have so many beautiful things they have given me great pleasure and have their own memories attached but I am glad to see others delighting in my collections."
